"Games"
They said the word and I was frozen. I took a big gulp. I could feel the sweat starting to build up at the back of my neck. I could feel the rolling butterflies building up in my tummy.
This was my response when I first realized that my husband's entire family is HUGELY into games. I think I remember playing games once or twice with my family, and it was Clue. So, as you can guess, I was scared. Scared to make a fool of myself because I knew nothing about games, cards, gambling, etc.
*Notice how I said knew.
I can officially say that I feel comfortable with games now. I even like them. In Colorado, Greg and Chantelle were awfully kind and took their time to teach me how to play 5 card draw and Texas holdem. I have also gotten pretty good at Nerts, Up and Down the River, and Scum.
Last night we had Mike and Madi over for card games and it was so fun. I can't wait to have more game nights now that I like games. :)
This is what Nerts looks like. It's madness. And one of my favorite games.

Madi also brought some mini apple pies that looked like these. They were so cute and so yummy. Dang you Pinterest!
