I wish I had taken more pictures, but I was so excited to just finish this project that I went ahead and did it all without thinking to whip out my camera so you guys could see the process .Oh well. What can I do now?
Here's one of my latest DIY projects. I had this piece of art from our wedding that was driving me crazy. I didn't like it and it just wasn't cute. So, I decided to change it.
It was a block of wood, so I spray painted it with this Rust-Oleum Professional high performance enamel spray paint. It comes out super shiny and covers really well. I let it completely dry for one day. Then I printed out an anchor online that was the right shape and size I wanted for my piece. I cut it out and kept the paper remaining. I put it down over the white surface and taped it on. Then I took my Rust-Oleum Metallic (Gold) spray paint and sprayed over the opening.
Afterwards, I used painters tape and taped off about 1" from the edges and covered the inside of the piece with newspaper. Then I spray painted the edges and let it dry. And whala! New piece of art for pennies! Plus, I LOVE it.
