Something that has been hard to
incorporate since we’ve been married is FHE (Family Home Evening). We would end up throwing something
together last minute on Monday night or we would eventually end up going out.
And on top of it all, it’s hard to make it feel like anything less than a weird
glorified date night if you don’t have children.
Well, in order to change things up, I
asked our cute neighbors Chris and Casey (who don’t have children either) if
they wanted to combine FHE with us. This Monday was our first. We even ended up
having dinner together (Lasagna.. mm!)
We opened with a small lesson about
family history work, ate some yummy brownies and ice cream, and went over to
BYU’s paleontology exhibit. It was open until 9 and totally free! It was perfect
and so fun. Sharing FHE with another couple was such a great idea… can’t wait
till next Monday!
(Giant alligator... scary!)
